With CHEST Annual Meeting quickly approaching, we’ve created an app to keep you abreast of all things annual meeting and NOLA. Keep this app handy when planning for and attending the meeting. Here are a few reasons why you should download this CHEST – Events app.
(1) Ease of scheduling your days with access to the full schedule
If you’re interested in knowing the schedule of events for the whole of CHEST 2019, the Browse Program tab is a key feature for you. With access to the full schedule’s details, you will be able to view faculty in attendance, descriptions of sessions and talks, and subtopics that will be presented throughout the course of the annual meeting. By starring the events that you want to attend, you can create a personalized schedule viewable under My Schedule. If you’re looking to make the most out of your CHEST 2019 attendance, this feature is reason enough for you to download the app. We guarantee you’ll never run out of things to do.
(2) Access to the Foundation’s Scavenger Hunt
The CHEST Foundation is hosting a fun, new social scavenger hunt game that’s never been seen before at an annual meeting! Scour the convention center for cardboard cutouts of CHEST and CHEST Foundation leadership, learn about our work in communities across the globe, and compete to win great prizes!
(3) Ability to view full abstracts and case reports
For the first time, you will be able to view the full abstract and case reports that are presented at the annual meeting. Starting October 14 and throughout the meeting, abstracts will be available within the session details along with date and time of presentation.
(4) Suggestions of things to do in NOLA with the Around New Orleans feature
Looking for the perfect beignet? Explore the city through the Around New Orleans tab that connects to a local travel website to offer you access to suggested restaurants, tours, landmarks to see around NOLA, and more.
(5) Connect with attendees through Share a Photo feature
Share a Photo allows users to upload a photo to the activity feed located on the home screen of the app. By sharing a photo, you are posting to the activity feed on the app, which allows other app users to view your photo. The activity feed will also display tweets from people who use the hashtag #CHEST2019 when on Twitter. Staying connected during CHEST 2019 doesn’t have to be hard, and by downloading the CHEST – Events app, it will be a breeze. To stay up to date on all things CHEST 2019, download the CHEST – Events app within the App Store and Google Play and download the CHEST 2019 event once you log in.
If you have already downloaded the board review event on the CHEST – Events app and need to switch over to the annual meeting, click on “More” in the bottom-right of the app. From there, click on “Find Event” and choose the CHEST 2019 event and click “Download.”
