Get ready to cheer on pulmonary and critical care medicine fellows-in-training as they compete to be number one in the CHEST Challenge Championship during CHEST Annual Meeting 2020, Tuesday, October 20, 6:00-7:00 pm CT. CHEST Challenge emcee Dr. William Kelly describes it as “the fastest, the funnest, and the most formative hour in continuing medicine education in the world,” allowing viewers to be entertained while testing themselves with evidence-based, pulmonary, critical care, and sleep medicine knowledge at the rate of one fact per 90 seconds.
“This is my 19th Challenge, and every year it gets better and more exciting thanks to innovations from everyone at CHEST, especially the remarkable Training and Transitions Committee, led by Matthew Miles, Mauricio Danckers, and staff liaison Maggie Kosinski,” Dr. Kelly said.
At this year’s Challenge, viewers and participants can expect the same high level of competition, energy, engagement, surprises, and viewer opportunities to win prizes, while NYP Brooklyn Methodist Hospital, Case Western Reserve University (MetroHealth), and SUNY Downstate compete for the title in a live broadcast where anything can happen.
The top 25 programs each year receive recognition and prizes. And our three final teams have won FREE registration for CHEST Annual Meeting 2020 AND for CHEST Annual Meeting 2021 in Vancouver AND for a CHEST Board Review virtual course or On Demand product, as well as a portion of $10,000 in cash prizes.
If you are a fellow that missed your opportunity to compete in the preliminary rounds in the spring, don’t miss next year’s CHEST Challenge.
